Organization

Experiencing theater and music together brings people together. It creates a bond when you laugh together or are moved by something that touches you. As a cultural institution with two buildings and three stages, we want to bring people together through theater and music.

We organize more than 400 events per year: from hip hop to dance, theater and cabaret in the Stadsschouwburg. And from pop and classical concerts to soul performances, television productions, corporate events, and conferences. Our team of more than 100 permanent staff, hospitality staff, and volunteers works passionately every day to make all this happen.

Multi-Year Plan 2025 - 2028

We aim to grow our activities with a recognizable artistic-societal profile for many more (new) visitors. The challenge is to realize this in a sustainable manner, both in terms of management and maintenance of our historical buildings. We will continue to take responsible business risks and focus on sufficient resilience through the growth of our own income and careful cost control. Read here the full plan.

Ethical Code

We are a cultural institution that organizes and facilitates concerts, performances, events, and educational projects. Our programming can and may provoke discussion, just as various topics do in society. This can sometimes become very intense. Opinions differ, groups oppose each other, conflicts and wars can lead to shocked reactions and deep indignation.

How we make our choices in this complex and hypersensitive environment, on what grounds we do this, and how we explain it to the outside world can be read in our Ethical Code
