Following the overwhelming success of her debut show Wildbloei, which received nothing but five-star reviews at home and abroad and was awarded the Neerlands Hoop, cabaret sensation Valentina Tóth is back with her long-awaited second full-length performance. In 'Revue Revanche' Valentina celebrates and explores the theme of revenge.
Valentina lets her grudge run wild and allows a procession of vengeful people to march by. A woman of a certain tech magnate sings a murder ballad. An opera-singing Lolita refuses to be silenced. A gynecologist becomes a pyromaniac. Ultimately arriving at her own body, which takes its revenge in its own unique way.
'Revenge is a dish best served cold', but in Revue Revanche the soup is eaten as hot as it is served. Armed with her characteristic blend of opera, theater, musical, comedy, social commentary and cabaret, Valentina leaves no stone unturned. Of no one. And certainly not of herself.
