With Wisten Wij Veel, Freek de Jonge brings the fourth part of his memoirs to life on stage. In this special theater production, he looks back on the years 1969–1980: a period in which everything began for him and took a decisive turn.
The presentation of part 4 in the memoirs series takes place, where else, at the Stadsschouwburg Haarlem on October 14th. Wisten wij veel, as the book is titled, describes the period from November 1969 through April 1980. My love for Neerlands Hoop in Bange Dagen and Hella confronted me with existential dilemmas and ultimately painful choices.
A mix of stories from the book and classical repertoire will form the basis of a new theater show.
