Claudia de Breij is back with the official New Year's Conference! In 2016, Claudia de Breij was the first female cabaret performer to take on the New Year's Conference. In 2026, she gets the opportunity for the fourth time to share her perspective on the past year with the Netherlands. Who will follow in her footsteps?
Claudia is the grande dame of Dutch cabaret. After the success of her third New Year's Conference in 2022, which earned her rave reviews and drew millions of viewers to television, her latest production What If played to sold-out halls for two years. For this production she was nominated for the Poelifinario in 2024 in the Engagement category, the award for the most impressive cabaret program of the theater season. What she will create depends somewhat on the year (Claudia: 'I just hope something happens'), but it's certain to be funny, musical and uplifting. "I'm really looking forward to it! Especially in these times, when it sometimes feels like the end is near, I'm excited about an evening where you get the feeling that we can go on - because we must go on.
