With new songs, clever conferences and Tom Dicke at the piano.
On December 2, 1966, mathematician Bertus Brouwer crosses the street in Blaricum. He is hit and killed by a car. On December 9, 2026, Jan Beuving performs a cabaret program called 'Fixed Point' in Haarlem. Hopefully he survives it. Jan will explain what these two facts have to do with each other and what a fixed point is.
As always with a cargo of new songs, a stack of clever lectures and Tom Dicke at the piano. "It fits together like a mathematical miracle", wrote the Volkskrant about his previous show '2025-1'. Nonsense, of course: mathematics is logical, miracles are not. But it did earn him a Poelifinario, for the best cabaret programme of the season. "Beuving was never better", according to NRC. It's up to Jan to prove them wrong.
