The cabaret duo Yentl and de Boer is searching for their ability to dream in their brand new musical cabaret show Rekhalzen, in a time that can be described as at least unpredictable.
Whooo, there go those necks! 'Rekhalzen' is an old Dutch term for 'reikhalzen'. It’s truly an excellent word. It’s exactly what we need: to stretch our necks a bit. Whoooop into the air! Looking for the horizon, the future, or just some sort of direction. Is something beautiful waiting? Maybe something surprising... will you learn something you never imagined you would get to? Shot putting. It turns out you have a perfect physique for it!
Of course, it can also be disappointingly bad what you see. Ailments... imperfection... a slow lonely death in a public place, while everyone thinks you’re just joking. Or what if your neck goes whoooop into the air, but that first glance over the neighbor's fence is so terrifying that your enthusiasm fades away? There he is, in his birthday suit. Eating pudding. Being in the moment. How are you supposed to relate to that?
