In this special program, Introdans honors the artistry of master choreographer Jirí Kylián in style. The company has fifteen works from his extensive oeuvre on its repertoire. His eightieth birthday in 2027 is a wonderful opportunity to put him in the spotlight. With a journey through the iconic pieces 'Kinderspiele', 'Petite Mort' and 'Chapeau', the company showcases the power, beauty and emotion of Kylián's influential dance language.
You see his signature not only in movement; the staging too – from lighting to costumes – is part of the choreography. His influential dance theater has set the tone worldwide. During this program, you will also see a film by Kylián, in which his vision of time, movement and art is illuminated from different perspectives. This makes 'KYLIAN' a rich and impressive dance evening, demonstrating the lasting significance of his work in the international dance world.
