In Flamingo, choreographer Remy Tilburg creates a visually and physically powerful dance universe in which nature finds a voice. Dancers transform into mythical flamingo characters who together bring an alternative reality to life.

A fairy tale for the 21st century, in which the fragile balance between humans and nature becomes tangible and in which our influence on climate and environment shines through. Inspired by fairy tales, comic stories and his Surinamese background, Tilburg creates a world in which flamingos not only dominate, but also change the perspective. ABOUT IID COMPANY
IID Company is the Rotterdam dance company of choreographers Remy Tilburg and Robin Kroes. From a shared fascination with identity and human connection, they create work in which the body speaks where words fall short. In 2024, after a ten-year career with Conny Janssen Danst, Tilburg and his partner took the step towards their own company: IID Company — I Identify.
With a strong physical signature and an open approach to collaboration, IID Company operates at the intersection of dance, music and social narratives. Their first production, HEAR_ME, is a multidisciplinary and inclusive dance performance in which different voices, bodies and perspectives come together. The production went on a national tour and was warmly received by both press and audience.
