Leading actress Romana Vrede in a declaration of love to the world.
Following the success of 'The Shell Case', Bureau Vergezicht returns to Haarlem with a new investigative story about power, climate, and shared responsibility. What do our history of slavery and melting ice caps have to do with each other? The answer is: everything. During colonialism, it was about the exploitation of people, animals, lands, seas, and skies. And although slavery has been officially abolished, it lives on in our culture.

We treat the earth as a supermarket and grant animals fewer rights than cruise ships. Now that the shelves are emptying, we're trying to maintain our lifestyle through technological solutions. But perhaps we need to finish something first: the decolonization of skies, waters, animals and nature.
Bureau Vergezicht is the theater company of Anoek Nuyens, Erik Whien and Rebekka de Wit. Together they create compelling stories about power, climate and responsibility. The group previously produced 'The Shell Case' and 'A Step Towards the People', and now they're exploring with the acclaimed actress Romana Vrede what a decolonized earth looks like. Not through outrage, but with humor, imagination and rich language. 'A Greater Story' is a love letter to the world.
