Dutch leading actors in one of the most influential plays ever written.

A woman tries to break free from the expectations of others, especially those of her husband. Her search for freedom and self-respect remains painfully recognizable, because how equal are men and women in our contemporary society? It is one of the most influential plays ever and still strikingly relevant: Nora or A Doll's House by Norwegian writer Henrik Ibsen from 1879. It is no wonder that the play is on the World Heritage List for documents.

Sarah Sluimer, among other things a columnist for NRC, adapted the piece with a sharp eye for current tensions in women's emancipation. Sexual freedom is celebrated in all kinds of relationships and the traditional family is no longer taken for granted everywhere. On the other hand, so-called momfluencers glorify the 1950s housewife and a growing group of young men yearns for conservative male-female relations. Top actors Waldemar Torenstra and Judith Noyons slip into the roles of this famous theater couple and show how role patterns can suffocate people.
